2. General information on data processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content, or where you have given your consent. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting, Google Ireland Ltd. When the pages are accessed, technically necessary data (including IP address, date and time of the request, the URL requested, and browser type) are processed to deliver the website and ensure its security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where the provider processes data in a third country, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

4. Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that enable an analysis of how the website is used.

Consent: Google Analytics is only loaded and activated after you have actively given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer and choosing “Decline”.

Scope: The data collected includes the pages you visit, your approximate location (based on the truncated IP address), device and browser information, and interactions on the website. IP anonymisation is enabled; the IP address is not stored permanently.

Cookies used: in particular _ga and _ga_<ID> (typically stored for up to 2 years) and, where applicable, _gid (24 hours).

Transfer to the USA: Using Google Analytics may involve a transfer of personal data to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 46 GDPR.

Retention: The retention period for the usage data stored by Google is configured in the Google Analytics account (2 months).

For more information on how Google handles user data, see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Cookies and consent management

Strictly necessary storage (e.g. remembering your cookie choice in your browser's local storage) is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) of the German TTDSG and does not require consent. All non-essential cookies (in particular for Google Analytics) are only set after your consent. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

6. Your rights

Within the limits of the applicable law, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
